Loin de l\u00e0. Mais il existe une difficult\u00e9 certaine dans les \u00e9tudes statistiques&nbsp;: les femmes ont la f\u00e2cheuse tendance \u00e0 ne pas reconna\u00eetre qu\u2019elles ronflent et, lorsqu\u2019elles le font, elles minimisent souvent l\u2019intensit\u00e9 de leurs ronflements\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e9anmoins on estime qu\u2019apr\u00e8s 50 ans, 48% des femmes ronflent (contre 56% des hommes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><u>Mais, c\u2019est quoi le ronflement&nbsp;?<\/u><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est une histoire <strong>de vibrations<\/strong>&nbsp;: certains tissus de votre gorge (voile du palais, base de la langue, parois pharyng\u00e9es) vont vibrer et produire un son allant du ronronnement f\u00e9lin au vacarme d\u2019un v\u00e9hicule agricole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ok mais pourquoi ces tissus vibrent ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, <strong>les raisons possibles sont multiples<\/strong>&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>R\u00e9tr\u00e9cissement de la gorge (Ob\u00e9sit\u00e9\/surpoids, langue trop \u00e9paisse, obstruction nasale)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forme du cr\u00e2ne ou de la m\u00e2choire<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Longueur anormale du voile du palais<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dormir sur le dos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grosses amygdales chez l\u2019enfant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Le ronflement pathologique (fr\u00e9quent et bruyant) concerne 25% des hommes et 15% des femmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><u>Pourquoi est-ce probl\u00e9matique&nbsp;?<\/u><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 des nuisances r\u00e9elles pour le conjoint, ronfler n\u2019est pas sans cons\u00e9quence pour le ronfleur lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00eame lorsqu\u2019il est discret, le ronflement entra\u00eene <strong>une l\u00e9g\u00e8re asphyxie chronique<\/strong> avec des cons\u00e9quences physiopathologiques. On est loin de l\u2019id\u00e9e re\u00e7ue selon laquelle le ronfleur dort bien, au contraire le sommeil est tr\u00e8s souvent de mauvaise qualit\u00e9, il entra\u00eene de <strong>la fatigue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De m\u00eame, les ronfleurs sont \u00e0 surveiller car chez certains ces ronflements s\u2019accompagnent d\u2019apn\u00e9es du sommeil. On parle alors de <strong>Syndrome d\u2019apn\u00e9es obstructives du sommeil (SAOS)<\/strong> ou de Syndrome de Pickwick lorsqu\u2019il est li\u00e9 \u00e0 une ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 importante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-medium is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"233\" src=\"https:\/\/julievidalenc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/sommeil-ronflement-3-300x233.jpg\" alt=\"sommeil-ronflement-3\" class=\"wp-image-761\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.3333333333333333;object-fit:cover;width:393px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Source : INSV<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Comment savoir si l\u2019on fait des apn\u00e9es du sommeil&nbsp;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le meilleur t\u00e9moin est souvent le conjoint&nbsp;: s\u2019il constate des ronflements et des pauses respiratoires suivies de reprises suffocatoires, je vous conseille vivement de consulter votre m\u00e9decin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et si vous dormez en solo, je vous recommande&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>De vous enregistrer gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une application (comme Ironfle, ou encore SnoreClock)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Si vous avez capt\u00e9 avec ces enregistrements des ronflements importants, et qu\u2019en journ\u00e9e vous constatez une forte somnolence ainsi que des c\u00e9phal\u00e9es au r\u00e9veil&nbsp;: la consultation chez un m\u00e9decin s\u2019impose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/julievidalenc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/sommeil-ronflement-2.jpg\" alt=\"sommeil-ronflement-2\" class=\"wp-image-760\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.2857142857142858;width:756px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/julievidalenc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/sommeil-ronflement-2.jpg 900w, https:\/\/julievidalenc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/sommeil-ronflement-2-480x373.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 900px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><u>Pour les ronflements non pathologiques, que faire&nbsp;?<\/u><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019option \u00ab&nbsp;\u00e9touffer le conjoint ronfleur&nbsp;\u00bb n\u2019\u00e9tant pas envisageable, je vous propose de travailler \u00e0 <strong>r\u00e9duire ou supprimer les points qui favorisent ou aggravent le ronflement<\/strong>&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La fatigue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L\u2019alcool (il entra\u00eene un rel\u00e2chement des muscles au niveau du pharynx)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L\u2019ob\u00e9sit\u00e9, le surpoids (compression des voies respiratoires par la graisse)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La prise de certains m\u00e9dicaments (tranquillisants, somnif\u00e8res)&nbsp;: en discuter imp\u00e9rativement avec son m\u00e9decin avant tout interruption de traitement \u00e9videmment&nbsp;!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le tabagisme (l\u2019irritation chronique li\u00e9e au tabac g\u00e9n\u00e8re un \u0153d\u00e8me de l\u2019arri\u00e8re gorge et donc un r\u00e9tr\u00e9cissement du passage de l\u2019air)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les rhumes, les allergies (qui entra\u00eenent une congestion nasale)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Voici quelques petites astuces<\/strong>&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dormir le haut du corps \u00e9lev\u00e9<\/strong>, en relevant les pieds du lit (et non pas en ajoutant des oreillers qui ne rel\u00e8vent que la t\u00eate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rester hydrat\u00e9<\/strong> et installer un <strong>humidificateur<\/strong> dans la chambre pour que l\u2019air ne soit pas trop sec<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utiliser <strong>l\u2019huile essentielle de marjolaine \u00e0 coquilles<\/strong> (Origanum Majorana L.) pour son action calmante et anxiolytique (id\u00e9ale avant de dormir) et son action de d\u00e9sencombrement des voies respiratoires. Vous pouvez l\u2019utiliser en massage sur le torse (jamais pure&nbsp;: \u00e0 m\u00e9langer imp\u00e9rativement avec une huile v\u00e9g\u00e9tale \u00e0 hauteur de 50%) ou en diffusion atmosph\u00e9rique. [<em>Avis m\u00e9dical \u00e0 demander pour les personnes asthmatiques<\/em> &#8211; <em>Contre-indications&nbsp;: femmes enceintes pendant le 1<sup>er<\/sup> trimestre, b\u00e9b\u00e9s de moins de 3 mois, personnes souffrant d\u2019hypotension aigue<\/em>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Petit avertissement naturo<\/strong>&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En mati\u00e8re de troubles du sommeil, on conseille souvent l\u2019utilisation de cette plante&nbsp;: <strong>l\u2019Escholzia<\/strong>. Je l\u2019adore, elle est tr\u00e8s efficace sur certaines personnes.
